Starting with a short story.
A tourist walks to see zebras, elephants, buffaloes at the Animal Camp in Botswana, South Africa. Suddenly he noticed that two elephants were tied with two ropes and their legs were tied with poles. The elephants are quite naked compared to both elephants, so they can escape the camp with little energy. But the elephants have no eyebrows at that, they stand idly in the same place. Curiously, the tourist went ahead and asked the trainer who was staying at the place.
In response, the instructor said that the elephants were tied with this rope so that they could not escape, as a result. Then these ropes were enough to hold their bodies. As elephants grow in body over time, they enter the belief that it is not possible for them to tear the rope away. So they gain strength and do not try to escape.
Black Hole is actually a dead star. The star means a bright star. Those who have the light. For example - the sun. Chandrasekhar Subrahman, an outstandingly talented scientist in India, has set a limit on who can be a black hole. That is, all the more than 1.5 percent of the mass of the sun, when they run out of fuel, shrinks themselves into a finite volume but will become a black hole of infinite density. The rest will be pulsars or neutron stars.
The story above highlights one of the grim truths of our lives. "Nothing happens to you", "It's not easy going into this profession", "There is no future for this job" - such background comments make us think that we lose the thought of getting out of it! In this way, we throw away creative work and jump into studies just for the purpose of being a doctor and engineer. This kind of mentality hinders our choice of profession. Board Exam, running blindly behind the admission test, lost one point of interest at one point. Because of which when someone is asked what you want to be, it is quite difficult to answer. For this reason, I think the idea of choosing a future career should start from school life. Let's not know what to look for in future career elections.
01. Check yourself:
The first step in choosing the right career is to verify yourself. That is, to find the places of interest, to test the natural abilities, small skills, personality, etc. Then think about the profession accordingly. To be successful in life, you must choose a job that can be done with interest or love! It will never think of that particular task as 'work', not to sit awkwardly awkward.
One of the easiest ways to find a point of interest is to close your eyes and imagine what you would do if you never had to do anything. The answer to this question is that you can verify for yourself which angle work is most important to you. Find out what career option matches that job!
02. Determine the type of work and the environment:
One of the important things in choosing a career is to define the work environment. You have to think about what your comfortable position is, in which environment you will feel comfortable working. For example, those who work at home can do freelancing jobs like freelancing. Again, those who are extrovert, who like to talk to people and have good communication skills, can lean towards marketing and other corporate jobs.
03. List
There are several websites or apps to test yourself, such as PathSource, Skills matcher, Socanu, O * NET Interests Profiler, Keirsey Temperament Sorter, etc. Here are some questions to know your own personality, places of interest. Moreover, according to the idea of the profession, you will get. After doing the tests, you will be able to see several career options. Even if you want to get into that profession, you will know what steps to take. But without taking any one test, you can create a list by checking some results using different career test apps. Now look at the list a little, then see if you can find a career of choice?
If there are tasks that you are unwilling to do, then remove them from the list. Then do a short list with a maximum of five occupation names.
04. Do research
It is important to know deeply about specific topics or occupations. One of the best ways to do this is to talk privately with people working in that profession, called 'informal interviews'. Besides, you can talk directly to get an idea of the working environment of that profession. However, the appointment of a person must be taken on time. It will give you a clear idea about the type of work, the environment. Then, after checking everything and choosing the preferred profession, which aims to continue the study, extra curricular activity.
05. Short Term and Long Term Planning
After choosing a career, you need to set some small and big goals. The goals have to be divided into two parts - Long Term and Short Term. Short Term Planning should include all the steps that need to be crossed to reach the main objective. Typically, tasks that can be completed within 5-6 months should be included in the short term. The next steps, which may take 3-5 years to complete, will need to be drafted into Long Term Planning, which will serve as a roadmap to reach the goals. Besides, you can also keep the draft plan in mind as to what are the obstacles in the whole process of reaching the main goal. Thus create a Career Action Plan and follow that roadmap to move towards the desired goal.
